18th Annual Beasley Bash & Cook-Off
The Eighteenth Annual Beasley Bash will be held Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18, 2013, beginning with a free street dance by Texas Wild from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday in the barbecue cook-off area between Second and Third streets, next to Loop 540.
The fun will continue Saturday, with events throughout the day on the main stage at the George Pavilion at the intersection of Fourth Street and Avenue G, one block behind the fire station.
The Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the pavilion, followed by the Little Miss Coronation at 12:00 p.m., Junior Miss Coronation at 1:00 p.m. and the Queen's Coronation at 1:30 p.m.
We will have live music begining at 4pm by Cheyenne who will play until 8pm.
Raffle drawing and Barbecue cook-off winners will be announced at 6:30 p.m.
A concert and dance by The Washers and Interstate will cap off the events beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Pavilion.
Arts and crafts, food and commercial booths will be featured Saturday.
A carnival, located directly behind the fire station, will provide plenty of activities for all ages both days.
Admission Saturday is $5 for adults, with children 5 and under admitted free of charge.
The Beasley Bash originated in 1995 as a commemoration of the town's centennial celebration, and was such a success that it immediately became an annual event.
Sponsored by the Beasley Community Committee, all proceeds from the event are distributed throughout the community via donations to the Beasley Volunteer Fire Department, Beasley Elementary School, City Hall, Cottonwood Creek 4-H, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and local churches.
Proceeds from the Beasley Bash have also been used to help local families in time of need, and a scholarship fund has been established for the Beasley Bash Queen.
Since its inception, the event has grown to include the entire community. In that spirit, members the Needville Volunteer Fire Department will man the gates and receive a portion of the profits in exchange for their assistance.
Saturday Admission: $5, 5 & younger free

The Beasley Community Committee is a non-profit charitable organization registered with the State of Texas and the United States Internal Revenue Service as such. All proceeds from fund raising activities by this committee are distributed in the community of Beasley Texas. Proceeds currently go to The Beasley Volunteer Fire Dept., The Beasley Elementary School, The local chapter of The Girl Scouts of America, The Cub Scouts of America, Beasley Texas City Hall and local Churches in the community of Beasley Texas. The Beasley Community Committee currently sponsors the Annual Beasley Bash. This festival includes a BBQ cook-off, Talent Contests, Beauty Contests and many other activities.
